Trade+Waste – Skip Bag Service Terms of Service (TOS)

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern the purchase, delivery, use, collection, and disposal of Trade+Waste Skip Bags (“Skip Bags”). By purchasing or using a Skip Bag, you agree to these Terms.

1. Service Overview

Trade+Waste provides a flexible Skip Bag system for residential customers, trades, and construction companies. The service allows customers to purchase Skip Bags, fill them at their own pace, and request a collection when ready.

Our service includes:

  • Bag delivery

  • Customer-controlled filling period (no time limits)

  • Crane collection

  • Weight-based tipping fees

2. Purchasing Skip Bags

2.1 Residential & Single-Use Customers

Customers may purchase Skip Bags for household or one-off jobs.
Options may include:

  • Single bag

  • Double bag

  • Triple bag

Bag delivery and collection are included in the listed price.

2.2 Trade & Construction Companies

Trades and construction companies may purchase Skip Bags in bulk at a discounted rate.

  • Bulk purchases include bag delivery only.

  • Collection and tipping fees are charged separately after a collection request is made.

2.3 Current Pricing (as displayed on product page)

  • $299 incl. GST per 4m³ Skip Bag, including delivery + collection

  • Tipping fees charged separately based on actual weight collected

  • Bags are delivered via same-day or next-day courier (Jet Couriers/AusPost or equivalent)

Prices are subject to change at any time. Customers will be charged the price listed on the website at the time of purchase.

3. Bag Delivery

3.1 Delivery Locations

Customers must check postcode availability before purchase.
Trade+Waste reserves the right to cancel orders outside service areas.

3.2 Delivery Timeframes

Skip Bags will typically be delivered:

  • Same day or next business day, depending on courier availability

  • Delivery partners may include Jet Couriers, AusPost, or another local courier provider

3.3 Failed Deliveries

Trade+Waste is not responsible for courier delays.
If a bag cannot be delivered due to incorrect address or unsafe access, redelivery fees may apply.

4. Bag Usage Rules

4.1 Maximum Capacity

  • Each 4m³ Skip Bag is rated for 1,000 kg (1 tonne).

  • Bags must not be filled beyond the top edge.

  • Overfilled or overweight bags may be refused collection.

4.2 Waste Types Allowed

Skip Bags may be filled with:

  • Light construction waste (e.g., fencing waste, timber, plaster, insulation)

  • Up to 10–15% heavy materials (soil, bricks, tiles, concrete)

4.3 Waste Types NOT Allowed

The following materials are strictly prohibited:

  • Asbestos or suspected asbestos

  • Batteries

  • Hazardous or clinical waste

  • Gas bottles

  • Liquids, chemicals, or solvents

  • Food waste or putrescibles

  • Tyres or mattresses (unless approved)

If prohibited waste is found, additional handling fees apply and Trade+Waste may refuse collection.

4.4 Time Limit for Bag Use

There is no time limit on how long customers may keep their Skip Bags.
It is the customer’s responsibility to request a collection when ready.

5. Placement Requirements

To ensure safe crane access:

  • Bags must be placed within 4 metres of a curb, driveway, or accessible area

  • Bag must be placed where a crane can safely lift it (no overhead obstacles)

  • Common obstructions include:

    • Powerlines

    • Low tree branches

    • Carports

    • Fences

    • Overhanging structures

If a collection cannot be completed due to access issues, a failed collection fee may apply.

6. Bag Collections

6.1 How to Book a Collection

When your bag is ready for pickup, contact Trade+Waste via:

  • Call

  • Text

  • Online booking form (if available)

6.2 Collection Timeframe

Trade+Waste will collect your Skip Bag within 5 days of your request.
(This may vary during public holidays or periods of high demand.)

6.3 Double & Triple Bag Collections

  • Multiple bags can only be collected together if they are located at the same address.

  • If bags are located at different sites, separate collection bookings must be made.

7. Tipping Fees & Weight Charges

7.1 Weight-Based Pricing

Tipping fees are charged based on the actual weight of the waste collected.
Prices may vary depending on:

  • Waste type

  • Local tip charges

  • Fuel/travel surcharges

  • Environmental levies

Tipping Fees are charged at the price of $225/tonne + GST (22% Cheaper than council rates.)

7.2 Weighing Process

Bags are weighed using:

  • Onboard truck scale systems, or

  • Weighbridge dockets (provided upon request)

Customers pay only for the tonnage actually disposed of.

7.3 Overweight Bags

If a bag exceeds its weight rating (1 tonne):

  • Collection may be refused

  • Customer may be charged an overweight fee

  • Customer may need to offload excess waste before rebooking

8. Safety, Access & Liability

8.1 Customer Responsibilities

Customers must ensure:

  • The bag is safely accessible for a crane truck

  • Waste is placed inside the bag (not beside it)

  • No sharp or protruding objects that may damage lifting equipment

  • No hazardous materials are included

8.2 Damage to Property

Trade+Waste is not responsible for:

  • Damage caused by improper bag placement

  • Damage resulting from access issues

  • Damage caused by heavy waste exceeding safe handling guidelines

8.3 Unsafe Bags

Trade+Waste reserves the right to refuse collection if a bag is:

  • Overfilled

  • Overweight

  • Containing hazardous or prohibited items

  • Placed in an unsafe or inaccessible location

9. Cancellations & Refunds

9.1 Bag Purchases

Skip Bag purchases are non-refundable once delivered.
If a bag has not yet shipped, a cancellation request may be processed at Trade+Waste’s discretion.

9.2 Collection Cancellations

If you cancel a booked collection after a truck has been dispatched, a call-out fee may apply.

10. Permits

Customers are responsible for obtaining any required council permits before placing a Skip Bag on public land, footpaths, nature strips, or roadways. Trade+Waste does not arrange permits and is not liable for fines, penalties, or delays resulting from bags placed without the appropriate approvals.

11. Changes to Terms

Trade+Waste may update these Terms at any time.
